Coronavirus in Belgium: Kitchens and a refrigerated truck as a morgue

Funeral homes in Belgium are overflowing and some are no longer able to store the bodies of the dead from the coronavirus, Le Soir reports.

In particular, this is the case in Liege, where the city authorities have allocated a refrigerator truck with 36 coffins for funeral services.

Problems have also started in Brussels, the newspaper notes. Thus, in the capital commune, Oderhem had to confiscate the refrigerators from the kitchens of the sports center.

According to latest data on Wednesday, 2,240 people died in Belgium from coronavirus disease COVID-19.
