The European Football Championship has been postponed until the summer of 2021. This is reported in the Twitter account of EURO 2020
This decision is dictated by the threat of coronavirus proliferation. The tournament will be held from June 11 to July 11, 2021. On March 12, L’Equipe informed about the forthcoming postponement of the European Championship.
According to The Athletic, UEFA may claim €300 million from clubs and leagues to cover the costs of the European Championship rollover.
Euro 2020 was to be the 16th edition of the Old World Championship and will be held in 12 European cities to celebrate the tournament’s 60th anniversary.
