Microsoft patented the headphones with a fingerprint scanner. This will allow you to quickly log into your accounts when you synchronize your headphones with another device.
As an edition of Ubergizmo, Microsoft hopes to use such headphones as a kind of computer controller. For example, you can log in somewhere by simply swiping your finger over the headphones.
In addition, a fingerprint sensor will allow you to store private audio recordings: voice messages, podcasts, etc., under protection.
It is worth noting that Microsoft already has products with such integration. These are Surface Headphones, which allow you to automatically pause and play music on your computer if the headphones are removed or worn.
However, for now it is only a patent, and it is still unclear whether Microsoft will bring the idea to life.
