Steve Priest, co-founder of ‘The Sweet’ died at 73

One of the founders of the British rock band ‘The Sweet’, bassist Steve Priest died at the age of 72 on Thursday 4th June. This is reported on the band’s official Facebook page.

The cause of the death of the musician is not specified.

“With a heavy heart, we report that today Steve Priest, one of the founders of The Sweet, has left us,” said the Priest family in a statement.

It is noted that the musician has three daughters and three grandchildren left.

Priest, along with three musicians, founded the band in 1968. Before its dissolution in 1982, the band had released more than 10 albums. In 2008, Priest created a new version of the band, which has made several tours in the Americas.
