In Great Britain officials consider the scenario of holding the second referendum on expediency of membership of Great Britain in the European Union. About it as TASS reports, the The Sunday Times newspaper has written.

“Public servants have to prepare for any turn of events, considering the parliamentary support of the prime minister weakening day by day. It is their work to develop reserve plans for all possible options, even improbable, including the second referendum”, – I have told an edition source in the British ministry of the questions Brexit.

The British Cabinet of Ministers has excluded holding the second referendum on Brexit earlier, explaining the position with the aspiration to execute will of the people.

At the same time, however, the government of minority of the prime minister Theresa May relies in the House of Commons on support of 10 deputies from the Northern Irish Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) therefore inner-party squabbles in a camp of the Tory between supporters and opponents of the stringent scenario of Brexit can interfere with adoption of the potential transaction with Brussels if it as a result is reached.

Official negotiations between London and Brussels under the terms on whom Great Britain will leave the EU have begun on June 19, 2017 in the Belgian capital. In a year before on a referendum on the matter in the United Kingdom the victory with result of 51,9% was gained by opponents of European integration.

Brexit has to occur on March 29, 2019, then, according to the plan, there has to come the transition period which will last till December 31, 2020.

We will remind, the day before in London the mass protest action with the requirement to hold a referendum on the final contract on an exit from the European Union has taken place. Participants of the march organized by the public campaign People’s Vote and headed generally by youth have gathered around the building of the British parliament to express the requirements.
