Trump presented the draft of the second package of sanctions against Russia on Scripals case.
U.S. Department of State staff formed and sent to the head of the office Mike Pompeo and president Donald Trump their proposals for the second package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, related to the Scripals case.
The decision on expediency of their introduction will be made taking into account the general “Russian strategy” of the U.S. Administration, Deputy secretary of state Andrea Thompson said.
The content of these proposals is not disclosed, but earlier the MEDIA wrote about Washington’s intentions to introduce “very severe sanctions”, including “bank sanctions, prohibition on purchase of defense products and money aid”.
Recall that the first package included a ban on the provision of any U.S. assistance to Russia, except urgent humanitarian, food and agricultural products, as well as a ban on the export of weapons to Russia and the provision of loans or other financial support Russian authorities.
