Trump accused Soleimani of killing millions of people

President Donald Trump said al-Quds Special Forces Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, Iran’s elite units) Qasem Soleimani should have been eliminated years ago.

“While Iran can never properly recognize this, Suleimani was hated and feared by [citizens] in the country itself. His should have been eliminated years ago,” the president tweeted. Trump believes Iranians are in fact “not as saddened” by the death of the general as Iranian “leaders let the rest of the world see.

He added that Soleimani “was directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of millions of people”. “General Qasem Soleimani killed or seriously injured thousands of Americans over a long period of time and planned to kill more. But I got him!” – According to the American president.

Earlier Friday, Trump also wrote: “Iran never won the war, but never lost the negotiations!”

Let us recall that on Friday night it became known that in Baghdad, as a result of U.S. air strikes on a convoy of cars near the airport, the commander of an elite unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Qasem Soleimani, was killed. Later, the U.S. admitted that it organized an air strike on a convoy of cars in Baghdad with the sole purpose of killing Soleimani, and the Islamic Republic of Iran promises to take brutal revenge on Washington for this.
