White House Looks to Ban Flavored E-Cigarettes

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has promised to impose a ban on almost all types of smoking mixtures for e-cigarettes . This decision of the president was supported by the American press, smokers themselves and even companies producing vaps and smoking mixtures.

According to the head of the U.S. Department of Health Alex Azar, the administration noted that the market will be cleaned of almost all types of flavored e-cigarettes and blends. Including very popular menthol and mint mixtures. The restrictions will not affect only tobacco mixtures.

This is one of the consequences of the epidemic that has unfolded among American vapers, which killed six people. About 500 people are already in hospitals, and the number of cases is gradually increasing. At the same time, most of the patients sought the help of doctors after smoking flavored smoking mixtures.

Details of the plan to regulate the vaepo market will be published in the near future. The decision could have been greatly influenced by the first lady of the United States Melania Trump, who attended the meeting of her husband with the head of the Ministry of Health and the President of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Ned Sharpless. Melania has previously expressed great concern about the ongoing epidemic, which is primarily targeted by American schoolchildren.

Such a decision was supported not only by the American media, but also by companies producing e-cigarettes and blends to them. Thus, about 85% of the market of the largest U.S. manufacturer of Juul blends are provided by American consumers. But the company also expressed concern about the spread of the disease and agreed to the White House’s actions.
